Job Summary: This role is responsible for organizing and facilitating scrum workshops, identifying value opportunities, and ensuring the successful implementation of high-impact ideas. The ideal candidate will have a keen analytical mindset, experience in project cost estimation, and a strong commitment to identifying inefficiencies. By collaborating with project teams, tracking workshop outcomes, and capturing best practices, the Senior Business Analyst will play a critical role in enhancing project performance and driving continuous improvement. This position will oversee a territory spanning Eastern Texas and Southern Louisiana. Duties/Responsibilities: • Organize and facilitate scrum workshops, ensuring necessary participants are identified and included in workshops to ensure full set of value opportunities are explored. • Properly size scrum workshop ideas and facilitate impact tracking handoff to project team. • Consolidate ideas generated from workshop and work with project team to estimate value to prioritize highest impact ideas. • Follow up with the project team on regular cadence to ensure ideas are implemented. • Capture lessons learned for each project scrum, create and share best practices. • Conduct regular problem-solving sessions with scrum masters and other scrum analysts to identify opportunities and share best practices • Regularly conduct 3-5 hour scrum workshops with appropriate project stakeholders • Represent the company professionally in meetings and field communications. • Complies with established company work rules, policies, and procedures. • Cooperatively takes on other duties, roles, or responsibilities, as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, business or economics • Greater than 8 years of utility experience and understanding of utility functions, high preference for experience in executing capital projects and broad network within relevant functions capital projects organization. • Structured analytical problem-solving ability with independent / out-of-the box thinking as core strength, high performer with project expertise, ability to understand project cost estimates and economic assumptions, demonstrated record of scrum mindset & behaviors (e.g., commitment to thoroughness, keen eye for identifying inefficiencies) • Valid Drivers license with good driving record. • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. • Reliability, willingness to learn, strong attention to detail. • Candidates should be self-motivated and able to work with minimal direction. Physical Requirements: • Walking, sitting, climbing stairs, standing for prolonged periods of time. • Ability to work at a desk on a computer. • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds at times. • Reach with hands and arms. • Frequent travel by vehicle. • Ability to operate and work in weather conditions such as heat, humidity, cold. • Occasional exposure to fumes, dust, chemicals. • Exposure to loud sounds and vibrations associated with construction. Salary Range: $41.00 to $45.00 per hour commensurate on experience.
