Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized Receptionist/Secretary to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and patients, providing exceptional service while managing various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication procedures, ensuring smooth operations within our facility. Responsibilities ? Greet and assist patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. ? Manage incoming calls, providing accurate information and directing calls to the appropriate personnel. ? Perform insurance verification for patients, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately. ? Utilize Medent software to maintain patient records and manage appointments efficiently. ? Handle medical collections and follow up on outstanding accounts as needed. ? Process patient information using ICD-10 coding systems to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. ? Maintain an organized filing system for patient records and administrative documents. ? Assist with general office duties, including typing correspondence, scheduling appointments, and managing office supplies. Skills ? Proficient in insurance verification processes and medical terminology. ? Strong understanding of ICD-10 coding systems. ? Excellent typing skills with attention to detail in documentation. ? Exceptional phone etiquette with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff. ? Experience with Medent or similar electronic health record systems is preferred. ? Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction. ? Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
