Sr. Quality Assurance Manager - 3 month contract until 6/30/2025 w/ possibility of extension Location: Tallahassee, FL 32399 Pay: $70-$75/hr Schedule: Mon - Fri 8:00a - 5:00p About the Role: Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Senior Quality Assurance Manager to play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of their systems, particularly those interfacing with state-wide accounting data. This pivotal position will lead and mentor a QA team, champion quality principles, and drive the implementation of robust testing strategies to support critical infrastructure remediations and integration with the new Florida PALM solution. Responsibilities: ? QA Leadership & Team Management: ? Serve as a Scrum Master and Servant Leader for the Quality Assurance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. ? Provide mentorship, guidance, and knowledge transfer to other Quality Assurance staff, promoting professional growth. ? Manage the definition, implementation, and integration of quality principles and processes within software development and IT processes. ? Establish and track key quality assurance metrics to measure and improve team performance and system quality. ? Ensure adherence to the client's established quality standards and customer requirements across all products, applications, and systems. ? Strategic QA Planning & Implementation: ? Analyze current quality assurance practices and proactively recommend future-state practices, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. ? Lead the research, development, and implementation of both manual and automated testing methods and procedures to guarantee the highest quality standards, particularly in the context of integration with the Florida PALM solution. ? Champion the application of quality principles across business and IT processes through training initiatives, meeting and team facilitation, communication programs, and team-building activities. ? Testing & Collaboration: ? Lead and participate in all aspects of testing activities, including the creation of comprehensive test plans, detailed test cases, and the development of both manual and automated test scripts. ? Collaborate effectively and proactively with development teams, business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders on a daily basis to ensure alignment on quality goals and timely issue resolution. ? Monitor, track, analyze, and report on defects, providing clear and concise communication to relevant teams. ? Ensure that quality measures and procedures are consistently executed throughout the software development lifecycle. Qualifications: Education: ? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field. ? In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional two (2) years of relevant professional experience in Software Quality Assurance or a related field may be considered. Experience: Required: ? Minimum of seven (7) to eight (8) years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance or a related field. ? Minimum of five (5) years of experience in developing and executing comprehensive test processes for diverse systems, catering to various client users and/or organizational units. ? Minimum of five (5) years of prior management, supervisory, or team leadership experience, demonstrating the ability to guide and motivate a team. ? Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of leadership experience in defining and implementing quality assurance practices within an Enterprise Architecture framework. Highly Desired: ? Experience working in a DevOps environment, demonstrating an understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery principles. ? Prior experience working with transportation technology systems. ? Knowledge and practical experience with Informatica IICS Cloud Data Integration tools. ? Knowledge and practical experience with the Snowflake data warehousing platform. Skills: ? Strong understanding of software quality assurance methodologies, tools, and best practices. ? Proven ability to develop and implement effective test strategies and plans. ? Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing techniques and tools. ? Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. ? Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders. ? Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities. ? Proficiency in using defect tracking and test management tools. ? Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment. Apply Job!
