Retail Media Specialist- Contractor

Description The Role As a Retail Media Contractor at Indie Consulting, you will support the execution of paid retail media campaigns across a variety of commerce platforms including Walmart Connect, Roundel (Target), Gopuff, DoorDash, Instacart, and others. You will be responsible for managing the full campaign lifecycle—from planning and setup through reporting and optimization—while ensuring alignment with client goals and best practices for each retail media network. This contract role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of shopper marketing and a strong track record in digital retail media strategy and execution. Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute retail media campaigns across platforms such as Walmart Connect, Target/Roundel, DoorDash, Gopuff, Instacart, Amazon DSP, and others
  • Develop detailed media plans including inventory mix, targeting strategies, flighting, and budgets
  • Set up campaigns within platform-specific tools and manage creative asset trafficking
  • Monitor and optimize campaigns for performance based on KPIs such as ROAS, CTR, conversion rate, and sales lift
  • Provide regular performance reporting and insights, identifying opportunities for improvement and scaling
  • Partner with client teams and internal stakeholders to align retail media campaigns with broader shopper and brand marketing strategies
  • Stay up-to-date with retail media platform changes, beta opportunities, and best practices
  • Support post-campaign analyses and case study development for internal learnings and external presentations

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in digital retail media planning and activation, ideally with experience across several platforms (e.g., Walmart Connect, Roundel, Instacart, Amazon DSP)
  • Strong understanding of shopper behavior and retail media KPIs
  • Proven ability to manage multiple campaigns and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Comfortable working independently and proactively communicating updates and challenges
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets and experience with retail media dashboards or platform reporting interfaces
  • Previous experience in CPG, eCommerce, or omnichannel media is a strong plus

Position Details

  • Contract/Part-time: 15 hours per week.
