Accountant

The client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will manage financial transactions, handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This role requires a deep understanding of financial accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting

  • Manage all accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.

  • Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, preparing detailed financial reports.

  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.

  • Ensure timely bank payments, monitoring and managing cash flow.

  • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements, providing insights for financial planning.

Treasury Support

  • Perform daily reconciliation of warehouse transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Coordinate with trust manager to streamline treasury operations and optimize cash management.

Operations Support

  • Collaborate with the operations team, providing support for capital repayments.

  • Assist in financial planning and analysis for operational efficiency and cost management.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and information.

  • Maintain and update financial records and documentation, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in accounting procedures.

  • Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives and strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

  • Proven experience as an accountant, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB Advanced) and MS Office Suite.

  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
