Job description: Overview:The Infection Preventionist plays a vital role in ensuring a safe environment by identifying and minimizing infection risks for patients, employees, and visitors. This position serves as a liaison and resource for Infection Prevention and Control, overseeing all related activities, including environmental and case surveillance, data reporting and analysis, practice consultation, and intervention development to reduce healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) among patients, members, and the workforce. - Bachelors degree in health-related field. Masters degree preferred.
- 2 years of experience in acute health care required. Previous experience in acute care Infection Prevention and Control and/or quality improvement work preferred.
- Certificate in Infection Control (CIC) is within 3 years from hire preferred.
- Must have a valid drivers license, clean driving record, and able to travel locally.
