This role involves various responsibilities, such as ticketing, check-in, baggage handling, and resolving customer issues. The position may require physical abilities, including lifting and standing, and the ability to work under tight time constraints. Southwest Airlines values teamwork and the ability to work in stressful situations while maintaining a well-groomed appearance. Responsibilities: • Provide friendly and positive customer service to both internal and external customers. • Handle ticketing, check-in, and baggage services using computerized systems. • Manage reservations, resolve complaints, and handle cash, checks, credit cards, and vouchers as forms of payment. • Assist customers in a polite and friendly manner, answering inquiries and providing information. • Deal with mishandled customers due to oversells, delays, cancellations, or lost baggage. • Communicate current flight information and assist with emergencies. • Complete necessary forms and reports as required by the company. Requirements: • Ability to type and use a computer keyboard efficiently. • Read documents and follow instructions related to ticketing procedures, rules, and regulations. • Work effectively in a team and handle stressful situations. • Ability to meet physical requirements as specified in the job description. • Good verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to communicate information and instructions effectively. • No specific education or experience requirements. • Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the United States. • Must be at least 18 years old and able to meet attendance standards. • Shift work and overtime availability may be required. • Foreign language skills are a plus but not mandatory.
