We’re looking for a Staff Backend Engineer who thrives on complex challenges—someone with deep TypeScript expertise who doesn't just maintain systems, but actively seeks out the hard problems that will scale our platform to power the world's biggest brands. You'll architect distributed backend services, solve technical challenges without playbooks, and mentor a hungry team while directly shaping the infrastructure that transforms how global marketing teams think about creative performance.What You’ll Do:Design and implement scalable backend services in TypeScript (using NestJS) within a service-oriented architecture (familiarity with Java, Go, and Python a plus)Build and maintain clean, well-documented APIs to support product, AI, and analytics workflowsEnsure backend systems are secure, maintainable, and observable (we use Datadog, OpenTelemetry, and Grafana)Contribute to technical decision-making and help shape long-term architecture and best practicesDive into & solve complex code issues, build POCs, debug production problems, and lead by exampleMentor a hungry team of developers to unleash their full potential, via code reviews, clinics, and workshops to elevate backend craftsmanshipWork with engineering leadership to align technical vision with business impact, while evaluating promising new technologies for potential useWhat You Bring:10+ years of backend engineering experience, including production experience with TypeScript/Node.js; hands-on experience with NestJS or similar backend frameworksStrong knowledge of service-oriented architecture and inter-service communication patternsExperience working with a variety of databases:NoSQL: MongoDB, ElasticSearchData Warehouses: Databricks, Snowflake, BigQueryRelational: MySQLProficient in… Apply To This Job
