We are looking for a passionate Media Partnerships Manager to join our Media Team in Shanghai. As an Media Partnerships Manager at HYPEBEAST, you will drive the media business development and media sales revenues in China. This role will be reporting to the Senior Manager.

You will be responsible for media revenue generation and holding ultimate accountability for the delivery of your individual revenue goals. You will need to build and maintain strong relationships with external brand partners and sell Hypebeast’s large suites of media products and services to fulfill the needs and wants of the advertisers. You will proactively explore new opportunities in various brand categories, visit prospects, and secure partnerships. As this is a senior position, you will need to have a strong understanding of the media landscape in China, media advertising, an eye for creative excellence, a rich experience in the production process as well as a profound passion for youth culture content and Hypebeast.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Hypebeast media business success through identifying market opportunities and develop multi-revenue streams, products, and marketing activities in the youth culture space.
  • Translate understanding of client requirements to the media, creative and production teams to allow them to complete work to the highest possible standard.
  • Drive the delivery of best-in-class work for our brand partners, upholding deadlines and always ensuring completeness of scopes – with strong upward reporting / communication.
  • Set, track, and monitor the revenue pipelines and leads, helping generate revenue targets and manage budget and expense.
  • Work closely with the cross-functional teams including editorial, creative, production teams on planning and implementing various projects and initiatives.
  • Identify new strategic partners and advertisers to implement an effective sales strategy.
  • Establish senior-level relationships with relevant brand partners to enable us to pioneer new activities and ways of working, based on a strong appreciation and understanding of how we can enable our business to help their brands grow in culture.
  • Responsibilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in media, communications, marketing, finance, design, or other equivalent professional experiences.
  • 4 to 5 years of experiences from creative or media industry, previously working at a media company or a digital/content advertising agency or other similar experiences.
  • Prefer partnership experiences in alcohol, automobile, consumer electronics, cosmetics and fashion.
  • Willingness to learn quickly and work hard.
  • First class networking skills, a self-starter who can work independently yet be a part of a team.
  • Negotiation skill is a must-have.
  • Media and content experience is a plus.
  • A high-performance focus, solid work ethic and a very hands-on nature.
  • A clear passion and energy for business, and how to create values for both brand partners and Hypebeast as a media.
  • Solid written and verbal communication as well as presentation skills.
  • An understanding that you have to make things happen yourself and manage the business to make sure you achieve your own objectives.
  • Good command of English and the proficiency of other languages within the APAC region is a plus.
  • Less experienced candidates will be considered as Senior Media Partnerships Executive.
