The Role

We’re looking for a high-performing individual to join our team and lead all facets of investor engagement and fundraising strategy. This role is ideal for someone with a strong network in the venture ecosystem—ideally a former VC principal or senior associate—who thrives in fast-paced, high-accountability environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Investor Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for existing investors, fielding inbound requests and maintaining regular, proactive communications

  • Board Support: Own all materials for board meetings, including decks, written updates, and financial snapshots; coordinate logistics and follow-ups

  • Reporting: Lead the creation and distribution of monthly investor updates with clear, data-driven narratives about company performance and growth

  • Fundraising Strategy: Partner closely with the CEO and CFO to map, source, and build relationships with future Series C investors; track firm-level coverage and drive warm introductions

  • Process Leadership: Own the Series C process from end-to-end, including diligence readiness, data room management, investor Q&A, and term sheet tracking

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strategically deepen relationships with potential investors, board members, and strategic partners, ensuring Wander is top of mind for top-tier VCs

What We’re Looking For

  • 4–8 years of experience in venture capital (principal or senior associate level strongly preferred), investment banking, or strategic finance at a growth-stage startup

  • Deep familiarity with how venture firms operate, how they evaluate companies, and how decisions get made

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills—you can craft a compelling narrative from complex data

  • Experience managing high-stakes investor relationships, preferably across multiple funding rounds

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with a strong bias for execution

  • A thoughtful networker who can open doors and build relationships without being transactional

Bonus Points For

  • Prior experience leading a Series B or C fundraise from the operator side

  • Familiarity with short-term rentals, marketplace businesses, or proptech

  • An eye for design and comfort polishing decks to boardroom quality
