As our Head of Legal (Product), you’ll be a crucial force in driving this vision forward — shaping products that address industry pain points and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in legal tech. To excel in this role, you’ll need to build trusted advisor relationships both internally and externally. You won’t just understand the challenges our clients face — you’ll anticipate them and craft solutions that not only solve problems but set new standards.   • Boldly productise various legal service offerings typically monopolised by the legal industry using your domain knowledge, creativity, and understanding of future trends. We're building for a tech-enabled, democratised legal future!
  • Keep our legal content and workflows sharp by reviewing and refining them in response to shifts in market trends and legal developments.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance our product through creative legal insights, drawing from your industry expertise and professional network.
  • Collaborate across teams (Product, Legal Research, Marketing, and Customer Experience) to align legal considerations with business priorities and product goals.
  • Provide expert legal guidance on product features, helping shape innovative solutions that balance compliance and user needs.
  • Lead, support, and develop a high-performing team of product managers with legal backgrounds, fostering growth and knowledge-sharing across the legal function.

You Should Have...

  • A license to practice as an attorney in California or New York (or eligible to register as in-house counsel), with 8+ years of post-licensure experience, ideally spanning private practice and in-house roles.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven ability to translate legal concepts into practical, scalable product solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with product, engineering, and commercial teams in an agile environment.
  • A proactive and strategic mindset — you spot opportunities, anticipate challenges, and solve problems creatively.
  • Exceptional communication skills — you can simplify complex legal ideas without losing nuance.
  • A passion for innovation and a keen interest in legal tech and the evolving legal landscape.
