Prevention and Intervention Specialist - Remote Opportunity with Workwarp
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Prevention and Intervention Specialist to join our team at Workwarp. As a specialist, you will play a critical role in implementing substance abuse education, behavior management, violence prevention, and intervention programs. - Collaborate with building level and district administration to develop and implement prevention and intervention programs
- Plan and oversee in-school intervention programs, working closely with administration and teaching staff
- Participate on student support teams and communicate with parents and guardians as needed
- Assist in supporting alternative education programs for suspended and/or expelled students
- Facilitate groups on substance abuse education, social skills, and anger management
Requirements:
- 48 hours of college credit or associate's degree in a human services related field
- 2+ years of experience working with students who are considered 'at-risk' or have behavioral problems
- Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds
- Strong knowledge of current trends involving children and adolescents
- Excellent interpersonal, public speaking, written, and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently with little supervision and prioritize multiple projects
