At Tekton Labs, we are a software consulting company with over 17 years in the market, operating in Peru and the United States. We are currently looking for a DBA to join an exciting international security project. If you are passionate about technology, database optimization, and want to be part of a world-class team, this is your chance!

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor databases in production and pre-production environments.

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Ansible.

  • Administer Linux systems (RHEL 9.x) ensuring optimal performance.

  • Implement strong security controls, including encryption, access management, and auditing.

  • Collaborate with DevOps and Data Engineering teams to support MLOps workflows.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues to maintain optimal operations.

Must-Have Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a Database Administrator or DevOps Engineer with a focus on Linux OS.

  • Advanced English proficiency (B2+, C1, or C2).

  • Strong expertise in:

    • PostgreSQL (tuning, replication, backups, recovery).

    • MariaDB/MySQL (high availability, query optimization, user management).

    • MongoDB (sharding, replica sets, indexing, monitoring).

    • MS SQL Server (maintenance, security, troubleshooting).

    • AWS RDS/Aurora (provisioning, scaling, monitoring, backup strategies).

  • Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and monitoring tools (DataDog, Splunk, SignalFx, PagerDuty).

  • Solid knowledge of networking, security, and performance tuning in distributed environments.

Nice to Have

  • Certifications in Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD), Terraform, or Linux (RHCE/LPIC).

  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.

  • Familiarity with other cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, IBM Cloud).
