IC2 - Software Engineer Backend - Security Apps

Reports to: IT Security Lead - DevSecOps / IT Security Lead - IAM

Objective of the Role: As an IC2 Software Engineer Backend - Security Apps, you will be responsible for supporting the development of backend security automation solutions within our cybersecurity team. This role involves collaborating on the creation and maintenance of tools and applications that enhance the security of our IAM and DevSecOps processes. You will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure secure and efficient backend solutions.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Develop backend software solutions that meet security requirements and technical specifications.
  2. Document code and comply with current regulations and procedures to ensure maintainability and scalability.
  3. Develop and maintain APIs to support various security applications and services.
  4. Implement solutions using container technologies, ensuring application efficiency and scalability.
  5. Work with Architecture, Data Management, and DevOps teams through agile sprints to promote continuous development releases.
  6. Gather and document functional and non-functional requirements in JIRA stories for projects and technical improvements.
  7. Collaborate closely with other technical and business teams to understand and translate security requirements into technical solutions.
  8. Define clear acceptance criteria before development to ensure quality and alignment with security goals.
  9. Write unit tests to verify code functionality and reliability.
  10. Perform integration tests to verify joint functionality and ensure seamless operation.
  11. Test product usability and accessibility to enhance user experience.
  12. Maintain updated documentation on architectures, procedures, and operational tools to support ongoing development and maintenance.
  13. Collaborate on testing to identify and resolve issues early in the development process.
  14. Develop tools and scripts to automate security operational tasks and improve efficiency.
  15. Follow data architecture guidelines on how to collect and store information securely and efficiently.
  16. Generate and deliver design documentation and information availability to the security team.
  17. Promote an autonomous work culture by encouraging self-management, accountability, and proactive problem-solving among team members.
  18. Serve as a Culture Ambassador to foster and maintain a positive, inclusive, and dynamic work environment that aligns with the company's values and culture.

Required Knowledge and Experience

  1. Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
  2. Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  3. Use of tools like Maven, Gradle, Github Actions, Sonar Cloud.
  4. Practice in Scrum and Jira management.
  5. Creation of microservices and consumption of REST services, RESTful APIs.
  6. Use of Git for version control and collaboration.
  7. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  8. Willingness to acquire knowledge in new technologies within the company's tech stack.
  9. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Java

  1. At least 1 year of professional experience in Java development in a team environment.
  2. Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate.
  3. Experience with JUnit and Mockito.

.Net

  1. At least 1 year of professional experience in .NET, .NET Core, and C# development in a team environment.
  2. Experience with NUnit or MSTest.
