Software Engineer, Mid The Opportunity:

As a back-end developer, you know that a good site or system needs the right combination of clean code, APIs, analytics, and infrastructure to develop a user-focused solution. We're looking for a back-end developer with the sof tware engineering skills it takes to help identify potential risks, contribute to solution development, and create efficient and effective systems for our clients.

As a back-end developer at Booz Allen, you'll use the latest architectural approaches and open-source frameworks and tools to help deliver solutions. Using your sof tware engineering knowledge, you'll work with and learn from the development team to create custom tools, systems, and sites with consistent performance and scalability.

You Have:

• 2+ years of experience in developing sof tware with Python
• Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining sof tware applications
• Experience using Linux operating system and Bash scripting
• Knowledge of AWS core services such as EC2, S3, or Lambda
• Knowledge of AWS networking concepts such as VPCs, subnets, and security groups
• Ability to work in an Agile team-based environment using collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Top Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics ( STEM )
• Ability to obtain a DoD IAT Level II or Level III Certification within 60 days of hire date

• Experience with Java, C, C++, or Go
• Experience with build automation, Infrastructure as Code ( IaC ) , CI / CD pipelines, DevOps, or DevSecOps
• Experience in interacting with AWS APIs programmatically such as Boto3
• Experience with writing and maintaining CloudFormation templates
• Experience with diagnosing and resolving issues within AWS environments
• Experience with sof tware or systems architecture
• Knowledge of IAM roles, policies , users, and groups
• DoD IAT Level II or Level III Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,300.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
