Position Overview

arenaflex is seeking a visionary Director of Healthcare Data Management to lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of data‑management initiatives that support our expansive pharmacy, retail, and specialty drug programs. This senior role operates in a collaborative, matrixed environment, partnering with internal teams and external partners to translate business objectives into robust data solutions. The position is full‑time, offering both night and day shift flexibility, and comes with a competitive annual salary of $76,000.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Partner with senior leadership to define data‑management strategy, set measurable goals, and align initiatives with both short‑term operational needs and long‑term business vision.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal groups—including Pharmacy Operations, Retail Services, Finance, IT, and Specialty Pharmacy—to identify data gaps, prioritize enhancements, and drive adoption of new data products.
  • Data Governance & Compliance: Establish and enforce data governance frameworks that ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with federal, state, and industry regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, FDA).
  • Product Development: Lead the continuous improvement of data‑management tools and platforms, overseeing the full product lifecycle from concept through release and post‑implementation support.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary data subject‑matter expert (SME) for internal and external partners, providing guidance on data architecture, analytics, and reporting.
  • RFP & SOW Participation: Contribute to request‑for‑proposal (RFP) responses and statements of work (SOW) for new contracts, ensuring data‑related requirements are clearly defined and achievable.
  • Regulatory Review Support: Participate in internal and external audits, offering data‑analysis expertise to validate compliance and support legal reviews.
  • Project Management: Oversee multi‑disciplinary projects, coordinating timelines, resources, and deliverables to meet budgetary and schedule constraints.
  • Partner Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, payers, and health‑system partners, translating their data needs into actionable solutions.
  • Team Development: Mentor, coach, and develop a high‑performing data team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and accountability.
  • Change Management: Lead communication and training initiatives for new data products, ensuring smooth adoption across the organization.
  • Performance Monitoring: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for data initiatives, track progress, and report outcomes to executive leadership.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience contributing to financial solutions within a health‑care environment.
  • At least 2 years of direct management experience, demonstrating the ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive results.
  • Proven track record of collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to develop solutions that meet business and regulatory objectives.
  • Demonstrated expertise in identifying operational challenges, designing process improvements, and executing corrective actions.
  • Strong project management background, including planning, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and delivery of complex initiatives.
  • Experience with specialty pharmacy program analysis and product lifecycle management.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time, both within the United States and internationally, to support business needs.

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MPH, or MHA) or relevant certifications such as PMP, CPHIMS, or CDMP.
  • Hands‑on experience with data‑warehousing platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift) and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, NCPDP) and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data sets into clear business insights.
