[Remote] Senior Network Engineer :: Remote :: W2 Position
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Dice is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join their Global Network Operations team. This role focuses on strengthening network security, remediating vulnerabilities, performing infrastructure upgrades, and expanding operational capacity across enterprise environments.
Responsibilities
- Provide Level 3 operational support for complex network incidents, troubleshooting, and performance-related issues
- Investigate and resolve network communication problems affecting client connectivity, backbone infrastructure, and overall service availability
- Support Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Event Management, and Request Fulfillment processes
- Design, implement, and support complex enterprise network solutions across multiple environments
- Lead network vulnerability remediation efforts and security enhancement initiatives
- Perform firewall code upgrades, policy reviews, audits, and configuration changes
- Deploy and support secure remote access solutions utilizing Zscaler Private Access (ZPA)
- Participate in network modernization, optimization, and infrastructure upgrade projects
- Analyze network performance and capacity trends
- Develop recommendations to improve scalability, availability, and operational efficiency
- Support large-scale network capacity planning and modeling initiatives
- Automate network deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting processes using Python
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge articles
- Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies through automation and standardization
Skills
- Expert-level experience with BGP (including route optimization and loop prevention)
- Expert-level experience with OSPF
- Expert-level experience with EIGRP
- Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) deployment and administration
- Firewall management and upgrades, including Palo Alto Networks
- Firewall management and upgrades, including Cisco Firewalls
- Firewall management and upgrades, including Fortinet Firewalls
- Security policy auditing and implementation
- Cisco Nexus 9000 Series (Nexus 9K)
- Strong Python scripting skills for network automation, deployment, and troubleshooting
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise or managed services environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment
- Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment experience
- Large-scale global network operations support
- Infrastructure upgrade and vulnerability management programs
