[Remote] Associate Actuary, Analytics and Forecasting

The Associate Actuary, Analytics/Forecasting role involves analyzing and forecasting financial data to support strategic decisions, ensuring data integrity, and developing complex reserving models using advanced analytics and cloud technology.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and forecast financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions
- Establish metrics, provide data analyses, and work directly to support business intelligence
- Evaluate industry, economic, financial, and market trends to forecast the organization's short, medium and long-term financial and competitive position
- Ensure data integrity by developing and executing necessary processes and controls around the flow of data
- Develop, build, and continuously improve complex reserving models leveraging cloud-based technology and advanced analytics
- Play a key role in the development, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of a cloud-based reserving model
- Leverage tools such as Databricks and Power BI to build, automate, and optimize reporting processes
- Conduct in-depth analyses to identify opportunities for improving reserve accuracy, translating findings into actionable enhancements to the reserve model
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree
- Associate of Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation
- Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA)
- Demonstrated ability to articulate ideas effectively in both written and oral forms
- Strong technology skills
- Demonstrated ability to design, build, and continuously improve complex models
- Demonstrated self-starter and problem solver
- Proficient with SAS/SQL
- Experience with Databricks or Power BI
- Experience developing and applying predictive models
