[Remote] Legal Services Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. For Purpose Law Group (FPLG) is a mission-driven law firm dedicated to serving nonprofit organizations and social enterprises. They are seeking a full-time Legal Services Manager to support the legal department by coordinating administrative processes and facilitating collaboration between teams to ensure an exceptional client experience.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a resource for navigating cross-department questions, concerns, and initiatives
- Help identify recurring challenges, opportunities, and operational needs within the legal team and ensure they are communicated to the appropriate people for review and action
- Support projects and initiatives involving multiple departments
- Coordinate the onboarding and administrative setup of new matters
- Assign incoming matters to the appropriate POD in accordance with Firm procedures
- Support matter routing, reassignment, and administrative transitions as needed
- Assist with maintaining accurate client and matter information
- Coordinate new engagements, scope expansions, and related client-service processes, working closely with Client Solutions to support a smooth client experience
- Assist with resolution of non-legal client concerns and service-related issues
- Identify recurring client concerns and communicate trends to Firm leadership and relevant departments
- Maintain and communicate stop-work lists and related client account restrictions
- Coordinate with Finance regarding trust requests, deposits, payment-related issues, and other legal-team administrative needs
- Assist with resolving administrative issues related to filing payments, agency fees, client costs, and related financial processes
- Coordinate administrative aspects of matter closures and disengagements
- Support legal-team administrative workflows and initiatives
- Assist with implementation of new procedures and department-wide changes
- Help ensure client records and administrative documentation remain organized and consistent
Skills
- 3+ years of experience in client service, project coordination, operations support, administration, professional services, account management, program management, or a related field
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to build productive working relationships across teams and departments
- Confidence raising concerns, identifying challenges, and communicating solutions constructively
- Experience managing sensitive or confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Strong technology skills and comfort learning new systems and processes
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
