[Remote] Accounting and Financial Analyst

They are seeking an Accounting and Financial Analyst responsible for analyzing and processing accounting transactions, supporting financial statement preparation, and coordinating with auditors during audits.

Responsibilities

  • Record journal entries, perform monthly reconciliations, and support month-end close to ensure accurate financial reporting; execute internal controls to mitigate risk
  • Compile, analyze, and communicate financial results for management and regulatory reporting; maintain effective reporting controls
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues, improve processes, and drive automation; support projects and perform ad hoc financial analysis
  • Coordinate annual audits by managing auditor requests and gathering required documentation; act as primary liaison between auditors and finance
  • Research and implement accounting guidance (U.S. GAAP, IFRS, Statutory Accounting Principles); document conclusions and serve as a technical accounting resource

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2+ years of experience in financial results preparation and analysis, or equivalent education/experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Research and implement accounting guidance (U.S. GAAP, IFRS, Statutory Accounting Principles); document conclusions and serve as a technical accounting resource

  • Experience with Workday preferred
  • Professional certification preferred (CPA, CMA, or MBA)
