[Remote] Director of Marketing (SF/LA/NYC)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Gantri is building the digital manufacturer for design and is seeking a Director of Marketing to define and scale its market presence. This role involves shaping the brand narrative, leading integrated marketing strategies, and ensuring cohesive execution across various channels.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve Gantri’s positioning as we scale Gantri Made and launch Gantri Wireless
- Build a clear messaging architecture across:
- Consumer
- Trade / specification
- Brand partners
- Translate technology and manufacturing innovation into emotionally resonant stories
- Create repeatable brand systems and messaging frameworks
- Own Gantri’s integrated marketing strategy across content, social, partnerships, web, launches, and agency execution
- Ensure all channels reinforce a unified narrative
- Define marketing operating rhythms and campaign systems
- Build brand momentum through consistency, sequencing, and execution quality
- Establish KPIs across both brand and business outcomes
- Lead brand and go-to-market strategy for launches and strategic initiatives
- Partner with Creative and Product to create launch narratives and experiences
- Build repeatable frameworks for launches, drops, partnerships, and campaign moments
- Ensure launches feel premium, intentional, and culturally relevant
- Develop partnerships with designers, collaborators, and tastemakers
- Shape Gantri’s presence across design events, trade shows, and industry moments
- Direct PR strategy and thought leadership efforts
- Guide influencer strategy to maintain consistency across channels
- Lead and direct agency partners across performance, PR, and creative
- Translate strategy into briefs, campaigns, and execution plans
- Partner closely with:
- Creative Director
- Sales
- Product
- Agency partners
- Ensure all customer and partner touchpoints reinforce a shared story
Skills
- 8–12+ years across brand marketing, integrated marketing, brand strategy, creative strategy, or related disciplines
- Experience either: Building and scaling a design-forward consumer brand, OR Leading brand strategy / integrated marketing work at a top-tier agency (Red Antler, Collins, Instrument, Wolff Olins, Partners & Spade, Basic/DEPT, Huge, Decade, Playlab, Manual, etc.) with meaningful ownership
- Strong preference for candidates who combine agency and in-house experience
- Proven track record helping brands grow through periods of change or category expansion
- Experience leading launches and integrated campaigns across multiple channels
- Experience managing and directing external agencies and partners
- Strong strategic thinking and positioning ability
- Strong creative judgment and high standards for execution
- Ability to connect storytelling with measurable outcomes
- Comfort operating with ambiguity and building systems from scratch
- Strong operator with bias toward shipping
- Comfortable in founder-led environments
- Experience with physical products preferred
