[Remote] Financial Planning Associate
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Claire Myers Consulting is a growing fee-based financial planning firm serving clients nationwide. The Financial Planning Associate will support financial advisors by delivering financial planning analyses, enhancing the client experience, and driving operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Prepare financial plans, executive summaries, and planning deliverables to support advisor recommendations
- Conduct retirement planning, cash flow analysis, and other financial modeling to assist advisors in developing customized client strategies
- Prepare reports, performance summaries, and planning materials for annual and semi-annual client reviews
- Participate in client meetings as a secondary advisor, supporting discussions and documenting key action items
- Assist advisors during prospective client meetings by presenting planning capabilities and responding to questions
- Support fee-based planning engagements, ensuring agreements are completed accurately and payments are processed promptly
- Continuously expand financial planning knowledge, industry expertise, and proficiency with planning tools and workflows
- Partner with client service and operations team members to facilitate the onboarding process for new clients
- Gather required documentation and assist with account opening, transfers, and related paperwork
- Coordinate onboarding activities to ensure a seamless transition and positive client experience
- Deliver exceptional client service by responding to inquiries and supporting ongoing account maintenance requests
- Document client interactions through detailed meeting notes, CRM updates, and follow-up communications
- Track action items and ensure timely completion of client requests and advisor follow-up activities
- Maintain accurate client records while adhering to compliance and regulatory requirements
- Support the delivery of a consistent, high-touch client experience across all client interactions
Skills
- CFP designation required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to a client-first culture
- Series 7 and 63 or 66 licenses preferred
- 5–7 years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, investment management, or a client-facing advisory support role preferred
- Experience utilizing financial planning software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
