  • Maintain up‑to‑date member records, ensuring personal and health information is entered correctly and securely.
  • Offer relevant product enhancements or supplemental services to eligible members, clearly explaining benefits and costs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—including claims, underwriting, and technical support—to expedite resolutions.
  • Adhere to all compliance, privacy, and security standards, especially those governing health information (HIPAA).
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions, role‑plays, and performance reviews to sharpen product knowledge and communication skills.

Essential Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in a customer‑service environment; experience in healthcare or insurance is a strong plus.
  • Proficient computer navigation skills, with comfort using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and web‑based applications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities, with a clear, courteous speaking style.
  • Exceptional listening and comprehension skills, especially when handling complex or emotionally charged situations.
  • Professional demeanor, strong work ethic, and a genuine desire to help members achieve better health outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Previous experience in a remote or work‑from‑home setting, demonstrating self‑discipline and reliable time management.
  • Familiarity with health‑insurance terminology, claims processes, and member eligibility criteria.
  • Experience with customer‑relationship management (CRM) platforms and ticketing systems.
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy, such as handling simultaneous calls, data entry, and follow‑up tasks.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for common technical issues related to online member portals.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, with a willingness to pursue certifications or additional training in healthcare support.

Core Competencies for Success
