About the Role
As a Remote Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in our healthcare claims processing operation. Your primary responsibility will be to capture, digitize, and validate incoming healthcare claim forms submitted by our clients. These forms contain vital information that drives billing decisions, insurance reimbursements, and patient care coordination. You will work within established procedures and digital platforms to ensure that every data point is captured accurately and efficiently.
This position is based remotely, but our operations hub is located in San Antonio, Texas. We are hiring for full-time positions with set shift schedules designed to provide work-life balance while meeting the needs of our healthcare clients. Key Responsibilities
- Claims Data Capture and Validation: Accurately enter and validate complex healthcare claim data from physical and digital source documents into arenaflex proprietary systems and client platforms.
- Image Classification and Indexing: Review, classify, and properly index incoming claim form images, ensuring they are correctly categorized and stored for downstream processing.
- Pre-Adjudication Review: Conduct initial review of claims documentation to identify discrepancies, missing information, or data entry errors. Correct data as required before claims move to the adjudication stage.
- Verification of Automated Extractions: Cross-reference and verify data captured by automated data extraction tools, making manual corrections when necessary to maintain accuracy standards.
- Multi-System Navigation: Utilize various internal systems, databases, and applications to complete assigned tasks, ensuring seamless data flow across platforms.
- Source Document Reconciliation: Complete assignments by comparing and reconciling information from multiple source documents to verify data accuracy or gather additional details needed for processing.
- Quality and Productivity Compliance: Meet or exceed established productivity benchmarks, including keystrokes per hour (KSPH) targets, while maintaining an error rate of less than 1%.
- Adherence to Procedures: Follow established protocols, standard operating procedures, and best practices consistently to ensure quality and compliance.
- Close Supervision Collaboration: Work under the guidance of team leads and supervisors, reporting progress, challenges, and seeking clarification when needed.
Shift Schedule
Team members will be assigned to one of the following shift windows, Monday through Friday:
- 6:00 AM CST to 2:00 PM CST
- 11:00 AM CST to 7:00 PM CST
- 2:00 PM CST to 10:00 PM CST
Shift availability will be discussed during the interview process, and preferences will be considered based on operational needs.
Essential Qualifications and Requirements
To succeed as a Remote Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Typing Proficiency: Minimum typing speed of 45+ words per minute (WPM) with a high level of accuracy. Demonstrated 10-key by touch proficiency is required.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable conducting internet research and navigating multiple software applications simultaneously.
- Performance Under Pressure: Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines while maintaining exceptional accuracy standards.
- Productivity Benchmarks: Must maintain or exceed 4,000 keystrokes per hour (KSPH) for numeric data entry and 2,500 KSPH for alphanumeric data entry, with an error rate of less than 1%.
- Technical Setup: Prior experience working through VPN (Virtual Private Network) connections is preferred, as this position requires secure remote access to client systems.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Background Check: Must be able to clear any necessary criminal background checks and/or drug screenings as required by client contracts.
Preferred Qualifications

- Basic knowledge of medical claims form processing, including familiarity with CMS-1500, UB-04, or other standard healthcare claim forms.
