[Remote] SAP Basis Consultant

PSR Associates is a consulting and talent solutions firm seeking an experienced SAP Basis Consultant to support federal government SAP environments. The role involves system administration, monitoring, cloud infrastructure management, and operational support for SAP landscapes.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, administer, and support SAP systems including ECC, BW, Solution Manager, Gateway, PI/PO, and S/4HANA environments
- Monitor SAP systems for availability, performance, security, and capacity using SAP monitoring tools and enterprise monitoring platforms
- Manage SAP environments hosted on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or government cloud infrastructures
- Perform SAP system refreshes, client copies, kernel upgrades, patching, and transport management activities
- Support high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), backup, and recovery operations
- Troubleshoot SAP system issues related to performance, connectivity, jobs, interfaces, and infrastructure
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, database, and application teams to ensure stable and secure SAP operations
- Administer SAP or traditional databases including monitoring and performance tuning
- Support implementation and maintenance of SAP Solution Manager monitoring, alerting, and diagnostics capabilities
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and compliance records
- Ensure SAP environments comply with federal cybersecurity and governance requirements
- Support system audits, vulnerability remediation, and security hardening activities
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of SAP Basis administration experience
- Experience supporting federal government or DoD SAP environments
- Strong experience with SAP Basis administration
- Strong experience with SAP system monitoring and alerting
- Strong experience with SAP transport management
- Strong experience with system upgrades and patching
- Strong experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Strong experience with SAP HANA and/or Oracle/SQL databases
- Experience supporting SAP systems in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows server administration
- Experience with SAP Solution Manager and monitoring tools
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Active Secret Clearance required
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA migrations or cloud transformation initiatives
- Knowledge of automation and scripting tools such as PowerShell, Python, or Ansible
- Familiarity with DevOps and infrastructure-as-code concepts
- SAP Basis certification preferred
- Experience with FedRAMP, NIST, STIG, or other federal compliance standards
- Experience supporting containerized or hybrid cloud SAP environments
