The Target Guest Services (TGS) Team

As a Home Based Collections Specialist, you'll be part of the TGS team, which is dedicated to delivering an exceptional experience with every touch and providing fast and seamless resolution of issues on behalf of our customers and team members. From RedCard Guest Services to Target.com Guest Services and the Client Support Center, we infuse every interaction with that signature arenaflex service that customers and team members alike have come to expect.

Job Responsibilities

As a Home Based Collections Specialist, you'll:

• Interact with customers and negotiate bill payments for both inbound and outbound collections
• Provide a arenaflex-branded interaction with credit account holders by treating them with respect and appreciation, showing courtesy and friendliness, and spotting various account holder segments and providing suitable solutions
• Demonstrate problem-solving skills by probing or making recommendations for handling exceptional account situations (e.g., bankruptcy, CCC, deceased, legal, fraud, billing disputes, etc.)
• Work in a multi-media environment (emails, phone calls, chat messages, and letters) that's fast-paced and requires prioritization
• Meet the core responsibilities of this role, which may evolve over time due to business needs

About You

* High School Diploma or GED

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• 1-2 years of previous customer experience or customer service experience
• Ability to interact with customers, team members, and internal business partners with a professional, friendly, empathetic style, and de-escalate as needed
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including listening, negotiating, and decision-making skills
• Experience handling escalated customer complaints
• Ability to apply various facts and reasserts to respond to questions, perceive problems, and accurately resolve customer issues
• Strong technical skills, ability to work within multiple systems, and high proficiency with PC/Microsoft applications
• Access to a home workspace that is free from noise distractions to perform the role
• Hardwired internet at your home location (Hardwired: using an Ethernet cable to directly connect the Target-issued laptop to the modem or router)
• Meet the minimum bandwidth requirement of 40mbps download/5mbps upload
• Ability to interact through a Target-issued internet digital camera for required meetings, training, and/or interactions
• Ability to securely lift and carry up to 25 pounds of equipment
