[Remote] Associate Applied AI Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Tauck is recognized as a world leader in deluxe escorted vacation tours and is seeking an Associate Applied AI Engineer to help turn business problems into real, working AI and ML solutions. The role involves building models, exploring data, and contributing to AI-powered features while working alongside senior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Translate business problems into clear analytical approaches and solution designs
- Wrangle datasets and engineer features to support ML modeling and AI workflows
- Build, evaluate, and iterate on ML models (forecasting, classification, optimization)
- Support the development of LLM-based workflows and emerging agentic AI patterns as these initiatives ramp up
- Contribute to deploying, monitoring, and maintaining AI and ML workflows in production, working closely with senior engineers
- Stay curious about new AI development tools and frameworks, and bring them into our workflows where they fit
Skills
- Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, AI, or a related field
- 0–2 years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, or AI engineering (internships and thesis-level projects count)
- Strong foundation in machine learning and applied statistics
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, with the ability to write production-grade code
- Familiarity with data pipelines and orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect)
- Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset
- Exposure to agentic AI patterns a plus but more importantly, a genuine eagerness to learn and adopt new AI tools and techniques as the field evolves
