Responsibilities
- Write engaging articles covering matches, players, tactics, transfers, and key developments
- Produce a mix of match analysis, opinion pieces, deep dives, and feature-style content
- Translate complex tactical and statistical insights into accessible, reader-friendly narratives
- Deliver well-structured, original, and factually accurate content within agreed deadlines
- Proactively pitch relevant topics based on trends, fixtures, and audience interest
- Ensure content aligns with brand voice, editorial standards, and SEO best practices
Skills
- Demonstrable experience writing sports-related content (portfolio required)
- Possess deep knowledge of at least one major sport and follow it closely
- Naturally analyse games beyond the surface level — spotting tactical nuances, performance trends, and key moments
- Can articulate strong, well-reasoned opinions supported by data and context
- Understand how to balance analysis with storytelling to create engaging content
- Have excellent written English and strong attention to detail
- Native speaker of one of Nordic languages
- Are reliable, self-driven, and comfortable working in a freelance/remote setup
- Have a basic understanding of SEO and digital publishing
