With a heritage of innovation, arenaflex continuously redefines the shopping experience by blending data‑driven insights with a deep understanding of consumer behavior. Our Merchandise Planning Analytics team sits at the heart of this transformation, turning raw data into strategic actions that drive growth, improve profitability, and enhance the customer journey.

Why This Role Matters

In today’s fast‑moving retail environment, the ability to quickly analyze, interpret, and act on large data sets is a competitive advantage. As a Remote Retail Data Analyst you will be the analytical engine behind arenaflex’s own‑brand (private label) strategy. Your work will directly influence merchandising decisions, inventory allocation, and promotional planning for thousands of product SKUs, ensuring that our brand portfolio remains both profitable and aligned with consumer demand.

Role Overview

This is a six‑month contract position with the potential for extension or conversion to a permanent role. The position is fully remote, operating on Central Standard Time (CST) with a flexible schedule that must cover at least 30 hours per week. You will collaborate with a cross‑functional team of merchants, planners, finance professionals, and senior leaders to deliver actionable insights that shape the future of arenaflex’s non‑pharmacy merchandise.

  • Own the end‑to‑end reporting lifecycle for arenaflex’s private‑label brand, including data extraction, cleansing, analysis, and executive‑level presentation.
  • Perform item‑level historical analysis to identify trends, seasonality, and performance drivers across thousands of SKUs.
  • Develop forward‑looking forecasts that incorporate demand patterns, promotional calendars, and market dynamics.
  • Design and maintain complex Excel models that synthesize large data sets into concise, decision‑ready dashboards.
  • Produce ad‑hoc analytical requests from merchandising, planning, and finance stakeholders, translating business questions into data‑driven answers.
  • Partner with the Merchandise Planning Analytics team to continuously improve reporting tools, automation scripts, and data quality processes.
  • Communicate findings through clear PowerPoint decks, written summaries, and verbal briefings, tailoring the narrative to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Prioritize multiple assignments, manage deadlines, and adapt to shifting business priorities while maintaining a high standard of analytical rigor.

Essential Qualifications
