Key Responsibilities
Assist in the installation and configuration of network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls. Perform routine network maintenance and system upgrades under supervision. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues. Respond to IT support requests related to network problems. Learn to implement and manage network security protocols and measures. Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Assist in the setup and management of wireless networks. Conduct network cabling and ensure proper termination. Collaborate with senior technicians on network projects and implementations. Stay updated with emerging networking technologies and best practices.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+) are a plus. Basic understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP. Familiarity with network hardware (routers, switches) is beneficial. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness. Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites within the Colorado Springs area as needed. Must be legally eligible to work in the US . A proactive attitude towards learning and skill development in IT.
