About the Role
The Customer Service Representative – Insurance Policyholder Support Specialist at arenaflex is responsible for providing outstanding service to policyholders, healthcare providers, and interested third parties by clearly explaining policy coverage, claim statuses, payment processes, and general account information. Key Responsibilities
- Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound phone calls with policyholders, providers, and third-party stakeholders, providing clear and accurate information regarding policy coverage, claim status, and payment inquiries.
- Process policyholder service requests received via phone, email, and written correspondence in a timely and professional manner.
- Review, interpret, and explain policy information, ensuring customers fully understand their coverage, benefits, deductibles, and any applicable limitations.
- Assist with claim payment processing, including verifying claim details, coordinating with internal departments, and following up to ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain updated knowledge of new and revised procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements, and apply them consistently in daily work.
- Meet or exceed department performance standards for call volume, average handle time, quality assurance, and customer satisfaction metrics.
- Document all customer interactions thoroughly and accurately within the company’s CRM and policy management systems.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience and communicate feedback to supervisors and process improvement teams.
- Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality when handling sensitive policyholder and claim information.
- Demonstrate sound decision-making skills by analyzing customer situations, weighing available options, and arriving at logical, customer-friendly conclusions.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance, including working scheduled shifts consistently and reliably.
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
- Minimum of one year of office-based professional experience preferred.
- Telecommunications, call center, or customer service experience is a strong plus.
- Prior experience or background in life and health insurance, claims processing, or insurance operations is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional and courteous phone presence.

Remote Work Requirements
