What You Will Do: Key Responsibilities

As a Technical Consultant at arenaflex, you will wear many hats — strategist, instructor, content creator, trusted advisor, and customer advocate. Your day-to-day work will include the following responsibilities:

  • Guide New Customers Through Onboarding: Lead new arenaflex customers on a structured onboarding journey from initial purchase through confident, everyday use of our CAD and BIM software solutions. You will serve as their primary technical contact and trusted guide during this critical period.
  • Develop Engaging Learning Content: Create, update, and maintain high-quality learning materials designed to support both new and existing customers. This includes written guides, video tutorials, on-demand training modules, and live workshop content.
  • Deliver Live Instruction and Training: Conduct engaging live training sessions, demonstrations, and workshops — both in-person and virtually — to help customers build proficiency and confidence.
  • Understand Customer Needs Through Product Expertise: Leverage your working knowledge of CAD and BIM software applications to deeply understand customer workflows, pain points, and requirements, then translate those insights into actionable feedback for our product teams.
  • Build Lasting Customer Relationships: Develop meaningful, trust-based relationships with customers and their organizations. Advise leadership and project teams on how to maximize the value of BIM software and modern project delivery methodologies.
  • Champion Customer Success: Proactively identify opportunities where customers can accelerate their adoption, expand their usage, and achieve measurable improvements in their project delivery outcomes.
  • Stay Current With Industry Trends: Maintain a strong understanding of current and emerging practices in the AEC industry, including evolving BIM project delivery standards, to ensure our guidance remains relevant and forward-looking.

What You Will Bring: Essential Qualifications

We are looking for a well-rounded professional who can confidently operate at the intersection of AEC industry knowledge, software expertise, and instructional design. The ideal candidate will demonstrate competency in three critical areas:

  • AEC Industry Knowledge: A solid understanding of current and emerging practices in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industry, with the ability to support customers across a spectrum of BIM maturity — from those new to BIM project delivery to seasoned subject matter experts.
  • Customer Onboarding Expertise: Deep, hands-on knowledge of the customer onboarding process, including the psychological and practical milestones that move an individual from novice to confident expert.
  • Teaching and Content Development Skills: Demonstrated skill in training and teaching, including both live instruction and the development of structured materials for on-demand learning environments.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

While the qualifications above are essential, the following experiences and competencies will help you stand out:

  • Direct experience working with CAD and BIM software platforms such as Allplan, Revit, AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Tekla, or comparable solutions.
  • Familiarity with BIM project delivery workflows and standards such as ISO 19650, LOD specifications, and collaborative BIM execution plans.
  • Experience developing instructional videos, e-learning courses, or technical documentation.
  • Strong presentation and public-speaking skills, with comfort delivering to both small groups and large audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible language.
  • A customer-first mindset and the patience to work through challenges at the customer's pace.
  • Self-direction and accountability, with the ability to thrive in a remote work environment.
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to partner effectively with sales, product, engineering, and support teams.
